Lovely Stuff from Lincolnshire….
So I think we’re all in the mood for the Jubilee and the Olympics, feeling proud to be British. And I had that moment this morning when unpacking the stock fresh from the market. It was a total joy to behold, such heady scented Stocks, dainty Sweet Williams and Luscious Lily. Grown on home turf. Lovely Stuff…
I’m just so excited about Summer in general when the markets will be awash with such fabulous quality
grown flowers and foliage, team that with the trend in Wedding flowers for an English garden theme. Work will be quite the opposite, it just won’t be ‘work’. It’ll be a divine pleasure…. What a lucky girl am I! This weekend we’re heading over to the fields of Lincolnshire to Jenny & Stuarts very English affair, with a village Wedding with flowers that will be more locally grown than we realised…. when they booked their Wedding in October last year! We are even using materials from the Grooms garden… Personal, cost effective and eco- friendly!
This last 6 months have been a whirl wind for us at Sophie’s Flower Co, we never expected the feedback, enquiries, bookings, response and lovely words that we have been drenched in. Maybe we just got our timing right, opening a flower shop in the depths of a recession when everyone needed something to smile about? Who knows, but my oh my we are happy to be here and looking at the Wedding flower bookings for the next 2 years…we are set to stay!
See you soon, enjoy the Sun!
